Overview
This section gives an overview about the Product catalog module.
The Product Catalog module is designed for easy recording, administration and presentation of data related to your products.
Showing products information in website
There are two primary types of web pages that show product information in the public website.
- Product pages: Shows a single product, usually with more information about the product.
- Product List pages: Shows multiple products in a single page, usually with image and product name.
Information storage, retrieval and display pattern is the same for both product pages and product list page, the only difference being a product page shows information about a single product whilst a product group page shows multiple products.
Apart from basic information, there are some additional information that are recorded for products in Product catalog.
- Price
- Stock balance
- Product relations (Cross selling, related products)
