Production web server

Software requirements

• Microsoft Server 2012 or later with IIS (Internet Information Services) with the Web Sockets protocol enabled.
• .NET Framework 4.7.2 running in full-trust.
• Possibility to communicate with an SMTP server.
• An folder with write permission for the anonymous ASP.NET user.
• Make sure Load User Profile is enabled for ApplicationPool.
• For generation of thumbnails server side; Node need to be installed
• Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable

Ensure that the Internet Information Server (IIS) supports ASP.NET. Follow these instructions to add ASP.NET support in IIS: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh831475.aspx.

Hardware requirements

• Processor: Intel Xeon server processor (2 core, x64) 2.0+ GHz or equivalent recommended.
• RAM: minimum 2 GB, for larger solutions you need more memory (if you do not have enough memory, your server will be slow).
• Hard drive: minimum 5 GB free space recommended, depending on the type and the size of the solution.

Production database server

Software requirements

• Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or later with minimum database compatibility level 130.
• The collation of database and server must be case insensitive.

Hardware requirements

• Processor: Intel Xeon server processor (2 core, x64) 2.0+ GHz or equivalent recommended.
• RAM: 6 GB or more recommended, 8–12 GB for larger solutions.
• Hard drive: minimum 5 GB free space recommended, depending on the type and the size of the solution.

Multiserver environment

• See Multi-server installation.
• Shared folder accessible over SMB (file share) from the web server.
• Load balancer.
• Session state server.

Client Requirements

Public site browsing

Litium supports all major browsers. However, the support depends how the presentation templates are constructed in the implementation project.

Back office administration

• Internet Explorer latest version (PC).
• Firefox latest version (PC and Mac).
• Chrome latest version (PC and Mac).
• Safari latest version (Mac).

Development environment

Developer tools

• Visual Studio 2019 running with elevated permissions (other versions may work but have not been tested).
• IIS 7 (Internet Information Services) or later with the Web Sockets protocol enabled.
• .NET Framework 4.7.2 Developer Pack.
• Configuration for Litium NuGet feed.
• Powershell need to be configured to run signed scripts
