Apply threshold amount to discounts
All discount types come with the option of applying the discount only when a customer has items over a certain amount in the cart.
If you want a discount to be applied to purchases over a certain amount, you can add a threshold to your discount. An example of this is free delivery when someone makes a purchase for 100 SEK or more.
Litium will automatically activate the preferred discount when the threshold value is reached in the customer's cart.
When an item or items are removed from the cart and the total sum changes to below the threshold, the discount is automatically removed.
To restrict the discount by a minimum quantity of items, you can specify the number in the Product quantity field. Continuing with the Free delivery example discount above, this discount will be actived if customer make a purchase for more than 100 SEK and has 4 or more items in the cart.
If you want to apply the threshold only for some specific product lists, you can specify them in the Product selection field. For example, free delivery when someone purchases items belonging to the product list "Buy more get freeship" for 100 SEK or more.
The default when creating or editing a discount is no threshold value, and you have to actively configure it when you create a discount or edit a discount.
