Litium search is the default search used for web fronts built on Litium. Some configurations and management can be handled in the control panel, while some configurations are done by coding.
Synonyms in Litium Search
Configure synonyms for a word by adding a keyword and a list of synonyms. The keyword is the original term that you use describing for example your products, and the synonyms are other words, that you would like to associate with the keyword. This way, you instruct the search to return hits related to the original word, even when the user is using for example a slang word or a word with close meaning to the original word.
For example, you might use the common word t-shirt in the product name for a line of products. By adding the word "tee" and "v-neck" in a synonym list to the original word "t-shirt", your visitors will get the same search hits when entering "tee" or "v-neck" as a search term as they would have by entering the word "t-shirt".
