Create a media folder

How to create a media folder.

You can use folders to manage your media files. Set permissions to control who can view and edit them.

Do like this:

  1. Go to the Media Area.
  2. To create a folder on the top level in the folder hierarchy, select New folder in the side menu.

or

  1. To create a subfolder, select the parent folder's name in the side, menu then select New folder.

There are four tabs where you can configure the folder:

  • Files: The content of the folder. If you only want to see a certain part of it, use the filter to create the selection you want.
  • Properties: general information.
  • Permissions: decide who can do what in this folder. You can choose to apply the same permissions for subfolders and files. When you create a folder it will inherit the permissions of it's parent folder.
  • Settings: choose a template for the folder.
