The people working as administrators can be given access to different areas in Litium. User permissions are controlled on group level, so first, create your users, and secondly create groups to grant access control.
Create a user
- Go to the Customers area and click New person.
- Enter the name of the person and choose a template. The template determines which information fields will be available for the person. Note that you can change the template later, after you have created the person, on the Settings tab.
- If you have already created groups, go to the Groups tab and click Add to the far right.
- Assign the person to a group and click OK > Save.
Create a group and set up permissions
- Go to the Customers area > Groups.
- Click New in the upper right corner.
- Give the group a name, choose a type (Simple or Smart) and a template. Then click OK.
- Simple groups are normal groups that you add and remove members from manually.
- Smart groups are groups that members are added to (or removed from) depending on certain filtering options. For example, a smart group can consist of everyone who has made a purchase during the last six months.
- Set the permission options on the Permissions tab. There are three permission levels that you can set individually for each area:
- Administration: Gives the users in the group access to back office.
- Content: Gives the users in the group access to all content.
- Settings: Gives the users in the group access to the settings for the area when clicking (settings) in the upper right corner.
- Click Save.
