Permissions let's you control who can access media. When creating or editing a folder you can set permissions for Groups in Litium. The permissions are used in the backoffice as well as in the public website.
Permissions are set for Groups
There are two default Groups, Visitors and Editors. Visitors are not logged in visitors to the web site, and Editors is meant to be used as the people creating content in the backoffce. You can of course set up other Groups as you wish in Litium.
When creating a folder, it inherits the permissions of it's parent folder.
Edit permissions of a folder or file
- Select a file or fodler and click "Edit"
- Select a group from the list
- Specify the read and write permissions using the checkboxes.
- Use the checkboxes to define whether the permissions also should apply for files in the folder, and whether all subfolders should have the same permissions.
