Litium is distributed via NuGet from version 5.

How to use NuGet

NuGet is the package manager for the Microsoft platform and the NuGet client tool in Visual Studio will be used to consume packages. Litium use a private NuGet feed that is found on To be able to consume the NuGet feed you need to have an account on Litium Knowledge Center with access to the download section.

Follow the steps to register Litium NuGet feed on your computer

  1. Open a powershell command prompt.
  2. Execute the following command
    (new-object Net.WebClient).DownloadString('') | iex

Note: If you get an error when running the script, you might have to change your execution policy with the following command: 

Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned -Scope CurrentUser
  1. Answer the user name and password questions with your credentials for Litium Docs.
  2. Close the powershell command prompt.

After the nuget feed is installed, restart Visual Studio.

Manual installation

Skip this if you have registered the feed by the method described above.

  1. Install nuget command line utility
  2. Add Litium nuget feed with help of nuget command line utility
    nuget.exe source add -Name Litium -Source -Username [username] -Password [password]
    [username] and [password] should be replaced with your credentials for Litium Docs.

If you adding the nuget feed from package manager settings inside Visual Studio you need to retype your credentials every time the feed need to be accessed.
