The Globalization area does not have a separate UI in back office. The settings for these entities are managed in the corresponding section under Settings > System settings.

Market is used to group different areas (usually countries) that you sell products in. "Europe", "the Nordics" and "USA" are examples of different markets. The market is connected to the assortment to define the products that you sell in the area. On the product or category you will also select if the item should be published on the market or not. This makes it possible to create multiple markets with the same assortment, but displaying different categories and products on different markets.

Tax classes are used to group similar products into the same tax class. "Public transport tickets" and "food" could be different tax classes. All products in the same tax class will have the same VAT percentage in the same country, but the same tax class can have different VAT percentages in different countries. This will make it easier to manage products that are sold in several countries. All countries have a standard VAT rate, and then you can add tax classes for other types of products.
The domain name entity is used to set up the different domain names that can be used for your website. The domain name also manages specific robots.txt info that should be displayed, search engines and if the website should use HTTP Strict Transport Security to force the visitors to access the site over a secure TLS network connection.
