Add-ons as extensions

Extensions' packaged functionality lets you improve an online shop with a minimum of technical development.

There are three categories of add-on extensions - licensed, source code, and partner add-on extensions. Licensed extensions are maintained by Litium and usually have a license fee. Source code add-ons are building blocks to speed up your development. Partner add-on extensions are built and maintained by a partner.

With Litium 8, some of the add-ons will be able to run as separate applications, called Litium apps.
